Installing a walkway by yourself doesn’t have to be intimidating.
The first step is to make sure you have excess sand, not stone dust, as this will provide the foundation for the path stones to be set in place.
Lay approximately two inches of sand bed evenly over the area with a rake and spread out excess sand that may be lumpy or bumpy for a flat surface.
Once the base is leveled off, wet down with water until damp but not soggy and let dry before commencing with additional steps.
To continue, simply add more sand using a trowel or shovel, enough to cover around two inches of stone dust which will help keep the stone pavers firmly in place. With any excess sand, use a broom or brush it into joints between pavers and this will complete your walkway.
